Welcome

Welcome to the web site for the Walton and District Allotment and Garden Society. The Society is run for the benefit of its members providing expert  horticultural advice together with our own shop supplying all gardening needs. We also organise the letting of Elm Grove allotments, coach outings, and an annual show.

Trading Hut

This is our Headquarters where we  stock an excellent range of composts, fertilisers and garden sundries. We are open for members on Saturdays from 9.15am until 11.30am. and on Thursdays between 10.00am and noon.

Outings

The Society ran two successful outings in 2022. In May we visited two venues, Cliveden House and Gardens and Chenies Manor House and Gardens. Waddesdon Manor, Berkshire was the September outing.

This year we visited both Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens in July.

Annual Show and Events

The Late Summer Show will be held on 19th August 2023 in St. Andrews United Reform Church Hall. This and excellent venue in Hersham Road Walton with good parking facilities. A Show Schedule will be sent to members in July.

The Society’s own site, Elm Grove Allotments, is excellently situated in the centre of Walton.  See our Allotments page.  The other local sites are Rydens Road, Home Farm, Terrace Road and Burhill managed by Walton Allotment Association.

Beekeeping

We have our own apiary on the Elm Grove allotments currently home for three beekeepers who between them have nine busy and productive hives. The honey is on sale at the Trading Hut. For more information please visit our Beekeeping page
